Mosteiros is at the western end of Sao Miguel. The place is at the bottom right by the sea. Mosteiros still has the charm of an old fishing village and if you want to hike in the west of Sao Miguel, you are in good hands here, because Mosteiros is the ideal starting point for hikes.
