We start the van tour with the departure point from the meeting point towards the first capital of the island of São Miguel, Vila Franca do Campo, where it is possible to make a short stop to taste the famous “Queijadas da Vila“.
The tour continues towards the interior of the Furnas valley where we will visit the Terra Nostra Park, as we walk through the park we will encounter various species of vegetation from all over the world, in this place you will also have the chance to relax in the thermal waters.
We head to the fumarole area, from Lagoa das Furnas, where we can witness the removal of Cozido das Furnas, before stopping for lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch our tour continues with a walk through the center of the parish where we can find fumaroles and taste carbonated mineral waters (Água Azeda).
The return to Ponta Delgada will be made by the north coast, passing through the Pico do Ferro viewpoint and the Gorreana tea factory.
