Angra do Heroismo: UNESCO City Walking Tour

This tour takes us through the streets of Angra do Heroísmo, historically the second European City of the Atlantic. Famous in the period of Portuguese maritime discoveries as a strategic and priority port for the ships, between the sixteenth and eighteenth century. Angra, which was a village since 1474, and elevated to the category of City in 1534, with five centuries of existence, and preserves in itself a rich history of culture, traditions and heritage buildings. This city was classified by UNESCO in 1983 as a World Heritage City.
