Hotel Santa Maria

The Hotel Santa Maria a modern hotel with ambiance. Despite its close proximity to the airport (only 3 flights per day), the hotel is located in one of the most peaceful and tranquil parts of Santa Maria, offering a perfect base from which to enjoy the serene beauty of the island of sunshine. The Hotel Santa Maria has 50 air-conditioned rooms including 2 suites, all with bathroom (bath & shower)and French doors opening on to a terrace. Standard rooms will take an extra bed (child or adult). Suites will accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (fold-up beds). Both suites have double bedroom (king size bed), separate living room, bathroom (bath & shower) and inner garden views. Large lounge with bar, fireplace, satellite TV and views over the inner gardens.

Santa Maria is about 55 miles from S. Miguel island (30 minutes by plane). It is the third smallest island of the Azores, known as the yellow island. The surface area is approximately of 38 sq miles (97 km2). The island has about 5500 inhabitants. The municipal seat is located in the parish of "Vila do Porto".
